Chechnya and Dagestan provide students with an opportunity to explore the geography, mountain landscapes, Islamic heritage, local architecture and cultural diversity of the Caucasus region. Grozny offers exposure to modern urban development and regional cultural identity, while Dagestan introduces students to the Caucasus Mountains, traditional settlements, historical heritage and diverse local communities. The programme combines geography, history, architecture, culture and nature-based learning.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Grozny & City Orientation
Students arrive in Grozny and proceed for hotel check-in and orientation. The session introduces students to Chechnya's geographical location, cultural identity, history and modern urban development. A city orientation allows students to observe modern architecture and regional cultural influences.
Day 2 - Heart of Chechnya & Cultural Heritage
Students explore the Heart of Chechnya Grand Mosque and selected cultural landmarks, subject to local access and arrangements. Students study Islamic architecture, mosque design, decorative elements and the role of religious buildings within local communities.
Day 3 - Travel to Dagestan & Caucasus Mountain Geography
Students travel towards Dagestan and observe the transition from urban landscapes to mountain environments. The day focuses on the geography of the Caucasus, valleys, vegetation, traditional settlements and local architecture. Students can maintain field notes and photographic documentation.
Day 4 - Dagestan Heritage & Departure
The final day focuses on selected historical and cultural locations in Dagestan, depending on the route and accessibility. Students study traditional architecture, local handicrafts, historical settlements and regional cultural diversity before participating in a final educational discussion and departure.
