Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Moscow & Orientation
Students arrive in Moscow and attend a city orientation covering Russian history, geography, architecture and modern urban development. Students begin their educational observation activities around selected city landmarks.
Day 2 - Moscow Heritage & Metro
Students explore Red Square and selected historical areas before experiencing the Moscow Metro. The educational programme focuses on Russian heritage, architecture, transportation engineering and urban planning.
Day 3 - Travel to Altai
Students travel towards the Altai region and observe the transition from an urban metropolitan environment to a mountainous natural landscape. After arrival, students receive an introduction to the local geography and environment.
Day 4 - Chuisky Tract & Mountain Geography
Students explore selected sections of the Chuisky Tract and study mountain roads, valleys, vegetation, geological formations and settlement patterns. Field notes and photography assignments can be used to document geographical observations.
Day 5 - Teletskoye Lake & Freshwater Ecology
Students explore Teletskoye Lake, subject to local access and conditions. The programme focuses on freshwater ecosystems, mountain hydrology, biodiversity and environmental conservation. Students observe the lake's surrounding landscape and natural resources.
Day 6 - Nomadic Culture & Sustainable Tourism
Students participate in a suitable traditional or nomadic cultural experience, subject to local availability. The programme introduces students to traditional lifestyles, crafts, food traditions and community relationships with nature. A nomadic glamping experience can be incorporated as part of the cultural and environmental learning programme.
Day 7 - Review & Departure
Students compare Moscow and Altai in terms of geography, urban development, mountain ecology and traditional lifestyles. Group presentations and a final educational review are completed before departure.
